What is the health/wealth gap? This course explores how lifestyle and social class influence health, illness and longevity in the UK. You will examine evidence related to the persistence of the health/wealth gap, assess explanations for health inequalities (including those related to the COVID-19 pandemic) and consider the adequacy of public policy initiatives to tackle health inequalities. The course will identify patterns, causes and explanations for health inequalities applicable to many countries. This is a 10 session course and must be taken with W410Pm04 in week 4.
