About the tutor

Alex Carter studied Philosophy and Ancient History at Swansea, University of Wales, and Philosopy at Bristol University. He then took up a post at the University of Essex where he taught Introduction to Philosophy, Existentialism and the History of Philosophy to first and second year undergraduate students. Alex is completing his PhD in Philosophy and his thesis is entitled " Freedom and fatalism in Wittgenstein's lectures on freedom of the will'. He is currently researching the religious philosophies of Simone Weil and Ludwig Wittgenstein.
