Below you will find information on some of the funding options available for each of our medical courses at ICE.
Pre-Medical Studies Bursary
Amount:
Eligibility:
Home address at time of application must be in one of the following area postcodes - AL, CB, CM, CO, IP, LU, MK, NN, NR, PE, RM, SG, SS.
Aged 21 or over by 1 September 2025.
UK citizen or holder of UK indefinite leave to remain/refugee status.
6 GCSEs at B/6 grade or higher, including Mathematics, English Language, and two sciences - by 1 September 2025.
Clear intention to apply for medical school post-course with this clearly articulated in supporting statement.
* Application Deadline: 14 July 2025.
Application Process:
Submit a personal statement (up to 200 words) outlining motivations for applying.
Outcomes communicated within one month of the deadline.

Student Finance England Loan
Coverage:
Tuition fees for the CertHE in Pre-Medical Studies and subsequent medical degree.
Includes up to 5 years of funding (4 years of study plus a 'gift year').
Eligibility:
No prior SFE funding accessed.
Cannot request an Advanced Learner or HEE loan

HEE Funding
Eligibility:
NHS healthcare professionals in England with a permanent contract.
Applications aligned with local workforce plans and supported by line managers.
Coverage:
Modular (for credit) or pathway funding (Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or MSt) .
Availability and level of funding varies each year and not guaranteed
Application Process:
Obtain an offer from ICE.
Admin team submits details to HEE.
HEE contacts applicant and line manager for forms.
Decision communicated to applicants.
Approved applicants forward the funding letter to the admin team.
