A survey and analysis of the fundamental texts and contexts of Ancient Rome's most famous poets: Horace, Vergil and Ovid. We will begin with the background of Catullus and the gutsy poetry of the 50s and 40s BC and conclude with a study of Ovid's enchanting and elegant masterpiece, Metamorphoses.
