The Covid-19 pandemic has laid bare health inequalities between different social groups. In this talk, Dr Nigel Kettley will consider the meaning, measurement and potential explanations for health disparities or gaps between different socio-economic groups. We will also reflect on the adequacy of social policy responses as a mechanism to remedy health inequalities.
